Scotland's John McCusker is the link between the three artists who became friends when working on Kris Drever's Black Water in 2006. An album of self penned songs written together in John's Edinburgh flat during 2007. Roddy Woomble is the talented voice (also of indie rock band Idelwild) Kris Drever (perhaps the finest young guitarist of the traditional scene) adds his deft, subtlety to the arrangements along with lead vocals for "Poorest Company" and award winning multi instrumentalist John McCusker brings his expertise to the instrumentation , including production. Guests include Radiohead's Phil Selway and Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake and Francis Macdonald, Heidi Talbot, Andy Cutting, Donald Shaw and Michael McGoldrick.
